The Last Bag You'll Ever Buy
Things have been absolutely nuts around here as we prepare to open Heritage Littles/A Little Photo Studio in ten days. I hope everyone can come out for some or all of the events during our Week of LIttles
Amid all the craziness, one beacon of serenity appeared last week to me: the Brooks Pickwick backpack.
You bike enthusiasts out there already know about Brooks, an English company that specializes in bike accessories. This is technically a bike bag, and all I have to say about that is bikers and babies clearly have the same needs!
I think this bag is especially useful for moms with toddlers; the backpack design lets your hands stay free to catch up to (and grab) your little one. The straps are soft and padded so you can dump anything and everything in there and still easily shoulder the weight.
It's made with water-resistant cotton: Hallelujah! It can easily be wiped down when a sippy cup takes a spill, or after a diaper disaster. Even the zippers are waterproof, so if it rains you're not standing there struggling to open the bag and just getting soaked for your efforts. Totally genius. The top folds down and buckles shut so nothing spills out, and you can adjust the size of the bag depending on what you need it to carry. I can go out for a couple of hours with just the necessities, and then stuff the bag with groceries or supplies for the shop.
There's a separate bottom compartment where you can store food or soiled clothes, and two perfect-size pockets on the inside where I keep my wallet and a sippy cup for the tot. A separate back pocket fits my iPhone PERFECTLY. High quality and easily organizable...I'm just sorry this backpack didn't come into my life sooner!
Did I mention I love this bag?!
Lastly, the solid-colored fabric and rugged leather means that maybe this bag will be cool enough for Bennett to use when he starts school.
We'll be carrying the Pickwick in a variety of colors at Heritage Littles. How could we not?? It will transform your daily routine.
